The We Hate Movies Podcast is coming to the UK for the first time with an exclusive residency at the Oxford Comedy Festival. The WHM team will be doing six live episodes over the weekend of 18-20 July 2025, featuring performances of We Hate Movies, We Love Movies, Animation Damnation, The Gleep Glossary, and The Nexus.
Sunday night, the boys show due deference to their host nation’s royal family with the 1991 comedy King Ralph, the Burger King-heavy, Slobs-Versus-Snobs comedy about a working class American jerk who becomes the King of England after a mishap accidentally kills the whole royal family. Who’s slumming it more: John Goodman? Peter O’Toole? John Hurt? Order up your Double Whopper with cheese and show up to find out.
Since 2010, We Hate Movies has been loudly celebrating and tearing apart movies from across the cinematic spectrum— from forgotten 80s actioners and insane romantic comedies from the 90s, to the early CGI blockbusters of the aughts and the hyper-nostalgic franchises of the 2010s and today.
Every week, comedians Andrew Jupin, Stephen Sajdak, Eric Szyszka, and Chris Cabin pick a movie from the near-past to discuss and joke around about, in all its positives and negatives. In the years since, they’ve also branched out into podcasts about the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises, Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, Lifetime movies, and Saturday-morning cartoons. More recently, they’ve been hosting a weekly entertainment industry show, On-Screen Live, covering new releases and movie news, while also regularly doing live shows online and touring across America (and now the UK!) to perform for their fans.
Important to note: These tickets are NOT covered by the Oxford Comedy Festival Full Festival Pass and must be purchased individually for each show.
